Public Service Announcement

PUTTERS NEEDED!

Wonderworks Children’s Museum has served children and families throughout the gorge area for over 30 years. We are proud to say that we finally have purchased a new home at 206 Madison St. in The Dalles! We have recently received an Urban Renewal grant and have already put in a new roof and HVAC system.
Since the building is empty as we wait for more grants to finish the building, we decided to put in a miniature golf course. This will allow us to serve our community by offering a safe place for families, youth groups, birthday parties and more to have a fun activity during the winter months.
We are asking for your help by donating any old putters that you might have. Whether they are right or left-handed, relatively new or really old, it doesn’t matter!

Telling Time in Style

This class will teach you the steps needed to create a watch that will match any outfit for any occasion - all you need to do is change the band. You have a choice between a brown or black band for this class, but then you can take the knowledge and create any color of band you would like on your own. Please specify on the registration form which band you want.

Cost: $15.00 first band

($10.00 for the second band if you choose to make both a brown & black band)

25 Days of Christmas

Looking for a fun family tradition to include in your Christmas holiday this year? This binder gives you 25 days of songs, stories, and scriptures to bring your family closer together as you draw closer to Christ.

SEW Cute! Scripture Tote

Could this tote possible be made from a placemat? Yes sisters, it's that simple and 'sew' cute! LeeAnn will show you how to take an ordinary placemat and decorate it up to become a fancy scripture tote or really any kind of tote you would like it to be.

Nativity Story Cube

This is a fun, new, kid-friendly way to share the Christmas Story for all. There is a different vinyl picture from the Christmas Story on each side of a 4x4 cube. The ideas are endless for ways to use this cube to both teach and tell the story of Christ's birth.

Holiday Breads

Learn how to make a traditional holiday braided bread PLUS taste samples and take home recipes for other holiday breads. These can be enjoyed by your family during the holidays, or given as a tasty, inexpensive treat to others.

Sanitation Kits/Water Purification Demo

Concerned about where you'll go when you 'gotta go' in the event of an emergency? Come to this class, get prepared, and you'll never worry again. We will be assembling sanitation kits that include a special lid with a 5 gallon bucket, and all the supplies needed to take care of your bathroom needs during an emergency. Carla will also be giving a demonstration on water purification inclusing what water emergencies we could experience locally, what the local officials plan for such emergencies, and how we can be further prepared. Definitely a class well worth the investment!

Grandma's Idea Swap

Our title says it all! Sue will begin the class by sharing her ideas and then open for swap time with one another. Possible swap topics include but not limited to empty nesters, grandkid connections and keeping in touch with family.

Family Home Evening Boards

Need help getting a little more organized with Family Home Evening? These decorative boards offer just that. By personalizing the board, it will keep track of everyone's responsibility, creating a smoother running Family Home Evening - a great accomplishment in and of itself!

Supplies needed: 1 yard of fabric (buy whatever fabric you want depending on the occasion you want the bags to be used for), 1 spool of ribbon (used for tying the bags closed after filling them)
